This moment in time…

A journal of our travels and how we arrived at this moment in time!

On the road again…

We awoke this morning at 7:00, an hour earlier than the alarm we set last night. Amazing, especially since we had such a long day yesterday. I suppose you are wondering how we fared at the casino? Well, don’t ask! It was not pretty. If you know me and Craig, though, we are not ones to waste money. We are good stewards of what we have worked so hard for and what we have been blessed with. So, not to worry. While we would much rather donate to a reasonable cause, we just look at the loss as entertainment, or all of the movies we have not gone to in our 20+ years of marriage. Looking at it that way, we have actually saved money!

Before leaving the casino, however, we did get a “free” breakfast! They offer a complimentary “senior” breakfast on Wednesdays and Thursdays. (Age does have its compensation!!) Must have been our “lucky” day! After breakfast, we loaded up and departed the casino in Thackerville, OK at 9:45. In case you’re wondering where we are now, we arrived safely this evening in Springfield, MO at 6:00. Another long day, but we need to be in Springfield, IL tomorrow to pick up two AGM batteries for our new home on wheels. Staab Batteries is closed on the weekends, so pray we make it safely in time to pick them up tomorrow!  We anticipate the drive to take us around 5 – 6 hours.  So, it looks like another early rise in the AM!

Some of you have asked if we are going through St. Louis where the riots are. The answer is NO! We are going around that mess. Sheesh… what a crazy world we live in!

So, not a very exciting day, but beautiful nonetheless! Stay tuned as we make our way north!

God bless!

  1. Safe travels. Post plenty of pictures of the new rig as soon as you can.

    • Thank you, John! As you can imagine, we have been too busy to be in touch but we are free now! How did your closing go and where is your daughter’s barn? (No need to be specific.) Do you have a particular date for your retirement? How are you enjoying your new home?
